Day 1 - Toronto Arrival

Upon arrival into Toronto today, pick up your rental car and proceed to your downtown hotel. After check-in, explore the downtown area. Included today is admission the CN Tower. Whether you visit during the day or night, the tower has impressive views. Built in 1976, the CN Tower has earned its title as the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, reaching an astonishing 553.33 metres high. The Tower includes an Observation Deck, a revolving restaurant and a glass floor. The 360 Restaurant is acclaimed for its exquisite cuisine, exceptional service, and spectacular selection of local and International wines. Truly an amazing feat of engineering!

Day 2 - Toronto - Niagra Falls

Spend your day touring Niagara Falls. Only an hour and a half drive from Toronto, travel through rich farmlands, vineyards and orchards. Upon arrival at Niagara Falls, park your car and see the roaring falls from above. Included today is a Niagara Falls & Great Gorge Adventure pass, including transportation and admission to the following attractions: Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Boardwalk, Hornblower Niagara Cruises, and Niagara’s Fury. Spend the day exploring all the Niagara has to offer. Later this afternoon or evening, make your way back to Toronto.

Day 3 - Toronto to Huntsville

Leave the hustle and bustle of the city and make your way into the forests of northern Ontario. The town of Huntsville is the gateway to Algonquin Provincial Park. The town offers many events during the summer months along with excellent golf courses, hiking trails and eclectic restaurants.

Day 4 - Huntsville - Algonquin Park

Today, explore Algonquin Park. This large park is only partially accessible by roadway. The bulk of the area is meant to be explored by canoe or foot. The Park has a rich history of early pioneer forestry, mining and farming before being claimed by the government for land protection. The Algonquin Museum Visitors Centre has a informative museum (complimentary) that explains the past, present and future endeavours of the park. Be prepared for many wildlife sightings along the way that may include deer, coyotes, moose, bears. Drive with caution. Return to Huntsville this evening.

Day 5 - Huntsville - Ottawa

Leave the rustic setting of Huntsville and Algonquin and make your way to Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. Travel by forests and raging rivers before arriving into Ottawa. Spend the rest of the day exploring the downtown area. Tours of the Parliament Buildings are complimentary and operate many times throughout the day and early evening. A trip up the Peace Tower offers a spectacular view of the city as well as an amazing history of area and nation. This evening perhaps make your way to Byward Market where the choices of quality evening entertainment and restaurants seem endless.

Day 6 - Exploring Ottawa

Another day to explore the nation’s capital city. Included is admission to the Museum of Civilzation. Although not technically in Ottawa, the museum is located just over the main bridge in Gatineau, Québec. Ottawa’s location is unique as the city sits right on the border of Ontario & Québec provinces separated by the very large Ottawa River. This museum features exhibits that chronicle the history and culture of Canada from the First Nations to present day. While in Gatineau, you may also wish to visit the Canadian War Museum, Later today, you may wish to rent a bicycle and ride along the Ottawa River and Rideau Canal. The bike paths are friendly, flat and offer great views of the city.

Day 7 - Ottawa - Montreal

Departing Ottawa today. Make your way into the Province of Québec once again for your drive to Montréal. In 1845, Montréal was declared the capital Canada. This status then alternated every four years between Toronto and Québec City until 1857 when Queen Victoria officially declared Ottawa as the country’s capital. From the downtown area, you can access the famous Montréal Underground Pedestrian Network which is used by over a half a million people daily. A bustling 30km network of walkways, featuring 1,700 shops, restaurants and an array of services, it connects to numerous theatres, cinemas, performance venues, attractions and museums.

Day 8 - Montreal - Tremblant

Before departing Montréal for Tremblant, visit the Montréal Biodome and the Montréal Tower/Olympic Park (admissions included). The Montreal Biodome is unique in the world and constitutes a veritable museum of the environment. Take a grand tour and visit the four most beautiful ecosystems of the Americas. The Montreal Tower Observatory is located in the highest inclined tower in the world, with its 175 metre elevation and 45 degree angle. The view of Montreal is as unique as it is exceptional. On a clear day, visitors can see up to 80 kilometres all around, including the Laurentian Mountains.

After your morning sightseeing, make your way to Mont Tremblant, a four season outdoor resort. Visitors come to Mont Tremblant area to ski, mountain bike, hike and enjoy water sports. At the base of Mount Tremblant, the resort transports you to a world that combines European ambiance with Québécois hospitality. In the downtown area, there are numerous stores and services serving the greater Mont-Tremblant region, yet it remains an enjoyable place to come and relax. In fact, this hub of activity has not lost any of its old world charm, as can be seen by the heritage buildings.

Day 9 - Tremblant - Montreal

Spend the majority of your day continuing to explore this outdoor playground. Experience scenic mountain vistas, a round of golf or a spa treatment. Arrive back into Montréal in the later afternoon or evening.

Day 10 - Montreal - Quebec

Depart Montréal this morning and travel to historic Québec City. Located on the St. Lawrence River, Québec is the only city in North America to be registered on the prestigious UNESCO world heritage list. Ancient stone walls still fortify the dynamic city, whose rapidly growing economy is fuelled by high tech industry, information technology, and of course, tourism. More than 100 cruise ships pass through the port city each year. Visitors flock to a number of impressive sites, including: historic Old-Québec; the Citadelle, atop cap Diamant; the majestic Fairmont Château Frontenac; the Parliament Building, Québec City’s most important national landmark. Québec City also offers many fine museums, including the Musée de Québec. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 11 - Quebec City Marine Cruise or Whale Watching

Depending on the season, enjoy either a local cruise on the St. Lawrence River or a Whale Watching excursion.

Local Cruise is available May 2 – June 24 & September 16 – October 14 (90 minutes):

Board the Louis Jolliet, from the Chouinard quay in the Old Port, and set sail on a captivating 90-minute cruise on the St. Lawrence River. Your costumed guide, Louis Jolliet, will reveal the unsuspected history of the Old Capital, the river and the surroundings. Take time to relax on the outside terraces while admiring the exceptional view of the old fortifications, the Château Frontenac, the Montmorency Falls, Île d'Orléans, the Côte-de-Beaupré and the Laurentian Mountains!

Whale Watching from Québec City is available June 25 – September 15 (12 hours):

Escape the urban life and treat yourself to a comfortable getaway aboard a deluxe motor coach which will take you from Quebec to Baie Ste Catherine. The onboard guide will introduce you to the picturesque landscape of the Québec and Charlevoix Regions and escort you along the mountainous coastline of the St. Lawrence River to Baie-Ste-Catherine, for a memorable afternoon of whale watching aboard the Grand Fleuve, which is the best observation boat in Canada. Equipped with an observation platform, a glassed-in room and a covered deck the boat offers comfort and space along with an exceptional panorama!
