Your nineteen-night Breathtaking New Zealand tour gets underway with your flight from the UK to Singapore. Begin your mesmerising trip in Singapore where you'll have the chance to explore the likes of Merlion Park, the iconic Thian Hock Keng Temple, and stunning Gardens by the Bay through insightful sightseeing tours.

After discovering many other intriguing ports of call along the way, the middle of your trip brings you to New Zealand's Rotorua where you can check out the dairy-rich Waikato farming region, Waitomo Caves, and take an excursion to Rainbow Springs to spot the rare kiwi bird, take a ride on a gondola, and taste many fruity regional wines.

Take time to appreciate the gold mining town of Arrowtown today to soak up the sensational scenic views and some of the largest glaciers in the world. End your trip in Christchurch where You'll travel over the Canterbury Plains and be informed of the fascinating main sights.

Day 1 - 2 - UK to Singapore

Today you'll fly to Singapore and arrive the following day. Mingle with your fellow travellers over a drink in the hotel this evening.

Day 3 - Singapore

The highlights of Singapore are at the top of the itinerary today; embark on an included sightseeing tour to explore Merlion Park, which is home to the iconic Merlion statue, and the Thian Hock Keng Temple, which is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Your Local Guide will be able to talk you through the history of these fascinating sights and answer any questions you may have.

Day 4 - Singapore to Auckland

Take plenty of time to explore Singapore freely today. Perhaps check out Gardens by the Bay, a collection of modern greenhouses and waterfront parks, or experience a day out at Universal Studios Singapore. Shop for unique souvenirs and sample authentic cuisine in Chinatown such as Hainanese chicken rice, noodles, and satay. You'll take an overnight flight to Auckland in New Zealand.

Day 5 - Auckland

You'll arrive in Auckland today and there will be plenty of time to rest after your flight before you gather as a group for dinner.

Day 6 - Auckland

The largest city in New Zealand, Auckland is a beautiful place situated on the North Island in the Hauraki Gulf. Take time to admire its stunning skyline on an included tour this morning taking in all the must-see sights. Marvel at the panoramic city views from Sky Tower or bungee jump if you're feeling brave. Visit Auckland War Memorial Museum to admire a vast collection of spectacular exhibits. Later on, you'll have plenty of time to explore the city in the company of your fellow travellers.

Day 7 - Rotorua

Shaped by the fire of volcanoes, Rotorua sits on its namesake lake on North Island and is renowned for its thermal springs and Moari culture. On the way, journey through the dairy-rich Waikato farming region and visit the iconic Waitomo Caves with your Local Guide. You have the chance of an optional flight today by float-plane or helicopter over Mount Tarawera Volcano. Learn how the volcano's 1886 eruption affected the landscape and if you're travelling by helicopter you'll land at the site of the eruption. Those who choose the float-plane option will have the thrill of taking off and landing on water at the Rotorua City Lakefront.

Day 8 - Rotorua

Experience an optional tour of Hobbiton today, which was actually the location created for the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit films. Explored its hobbit holes and the Green Dragon Inn, while the guide offers an interesting insight for fans. If you don't wish to get involved with this, take an optional excursion to Rainbow Springs to catch a glimpse of the rare kiwi bird, take a ride on a gondola, and taste many fruity regional wines. Tonight brings you the chance to experience a Maori concert and an opportunity to sample a traditional Hangi meal on an optional tour.

Day 9 - Napier

Home to the extraordinary boiling mud pools and spouting geysers that New Zealand is so famous for; Te Puia Thermal Reserve is on the agenda this morning where you can explore this incredible sight for yourself. Your route to Napier will take you through the Wairakei Valley, lead you past Huka Falls, to beautiful Lake Taupo, where will you pause to take photos and appreciate the views. Napier is also home to one of world's finest collection of Art Deco-style buildings and its climate is ideal for growing grapes. Treat yourself an array of delicious wines before discovering more about the town on foot in the company of your Tour Manager. Dinner will be enjoyed as a group this evening.

Day 10 - Wellington

New Zealand's fantastic capital is next, Wellington, which enjoys a pretty setting on the southern tip of the North Island. Spend time on an orientation tour to see the highlights of the city. Take the Wellington Cable Car to marvel at panoramic views or the ZEALANDIA Ecosanctuary is filled with rare native birds, plants, and trees. Take a stroll through Wellington Botanic Garden to admire the greenery and beautiful plants.

Day 11 - Wellington

Freely explore the city of Wellington in your own time today with your fellow travel companions. Perhaps visit the Te Papa Museum, which offers a wealth of information about New Zealand and its history, along with an impressive collection of art.

Day 12 - Christchurch

Prepare to set sail for the South Island today. Once you're back on land, continue on a drive to reach Christchurch, which is often referred to as the most English city outside of England. Be sure to take in the sensational scenery of the Kaikoura coast along the way.

Day 13 - TranzAlpine

Embark on a spectacular journey into the Southern Alps with the TranzAlpine. Board the train from Christchurch to Arthur's Pass, the South Island's highest railway station, which passes through a contrast of scenery of snow-capped Southern Alps and majestic gorges. Re-join the coach at Arthur's Pass and carry on south to discover more fantastic scenery and breathtaking glaciers of the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier regions. If you'd like, perhaps join a helicopter flight with a landing on the glacier for yet another view of this sensational landscape.

Day 14 - Queenstown

Experience Westland National Park for yourself as you head to Queenstown today, known as one of most scenic roads ever built with its spectacular ocean views to one side and impressive forest views to the other. Pass Lake Hawea and cross the Haast River Bridge on your way. If you're a fan of white-knuckle action; take an optional ride on the Kawarau Jet Boat. On this exciting adventure, you'll travel at speeds of up to 50 miles an hour in very shallow water. Later you may wish to join your guide for an optional ride on the Skyline Queenstown Gondola. Head to the top of Bob's Peak for incredible views of the night sky and a phenomenal stargazing experience. A tasty dinner in the restaurant at the top of the gondola rounds off a fantastic evening.

Day 15 - Milford Sound

Widely regarded as one of the greatest location in New Zealand; Milford Sound is your next stop. The gateway to Fjordland National Park, Te Anau is your first port of call on today's tour. You'll then continue through the pretty beech forests of the Eglinton Valley and eroded glacial canyons of the Hollyford Valley, before you actually arrive at Milford Sound itself. Weather permitting, a cruise on the Sound is included today and is the best way to appreciate the true beauty of the area. Lunch is also included.

Day 16 - Queenstown

Come together with your fellow travellers to explore Queenstown or join an optional excursion. If you're a thrill-seeker, take the opportunity of an exhilarating jet boat ride on the Dart River. You'll also get the chance to take a walk through the bush and go on an exciting four-wheel drive. This evening you could take a relaxing steamship cruise on Lake Wakatipu and a tasty barbecue dinner in the Colonel's Homestead at Walter Park.

Day 17 - Omarama

Travel via the gold mining town of Arrowtown today. New Zealand has an array of never-ending scenery and another sensational route delivers us to the Mount Cook region today. Take an optional scenic flight over some of New Zealand's highest mountains and largest glaciers. Your pilot offers an interesting commentary as you admire the views from the air.

Day 18 - Christchurch

A pleasant drive this morning takes you across Burkes Pass and onwards to Lake Tekapo. Travel over the Canterbury Plains and on to Christchurch where an orientation tour introduces you to all the main sights. This evening gather with the group to enjoy a farewell drink.

Day 19 - Christchurch to UK

You'll transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.

Today you'll arrive back in the UK.
