On arrival into Johannesburg International Airport, you will transferred privately to Davinci Hotel and Suites, where you will stay for two nights on a bed & breakfast basis. Spend your first night in Johannesburg at leisure. Your hotel is close to many of the city’s landmarks including Montecasino, Soccer City Stadium, and Hyde Park Corner. Perhaps take a walk before enjoying dinner at the gourmet hotel restaurant, which serves European cuisine and freshly prepared sushi.

After filling up on breakfast, head on your Johannesburg and Soweto Highlights Tour. Today you’ll discover the history of Johannesburg, also known as the city of gold, and experience the vibrant neighbourhood of Soweto. Visit Constitution Hill, the Constitutional Court, and the Hector Pieterson Memorial before viewing the iconic Soweto Towers and spending time at a buzzing and authentic street market.

After breakfast, you’ll be privately transferred to Pretoria Train Station. This afternoon, board your Rovos Rail train, where you’ll spend the next four nights in a Pullman Suite on an all-inclusive basis. Depart Pretoria and make your way to the observation car to witness the stunning sights you are about to pass, including Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) and Nylstroom. Dinner is served tonight in your dining car.

You’ll spend the next 3 days enjoying the luxurious experience on your Rovos Rail journey. Transfer to The Ranch Conservatory, where you can see its game and prolific birdlife, stop at Gwanda, where you have the opportunity to stroll through the beautiful town, and enjoy a game drive at Hwange National Park, all while soaking in the views from the train and enjoying your all-inclusive meals.

Your Rovos Rail journey ends as you arrive into the incomparable Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. You’ll then be privately transferred from Victoria Falls train station to Ilala Lodge where you will stay for the next three nights on a bed & breakfast basis. Spend tonight exploring the Victoria Falls area and enjoy dinner tonight in the hotel’s award-winning Palm Restaurant, famous for not only its delicious gourmet cuisine, but the incredible views, sounds and spray of Victoria Falls.

Today after breakfast you’ll embark on your awe-inspiring tour of the majestic Victoria Falls, known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. You’ll be accompanied by a nature-loving guide through the rainforest, who will share with you the history of this natural wonder of the world, as well as the flora, fauna, and other points of interest. Raincoats will be provided if needed.

You have a free day today in Victoria Falls. After a hearty breakfast, perhaps head on the Ra-Ikane River Cruise. This cruise allows you to relive the historical journey taken by David Livingstone as you exploring the mighty Zambezi River on board a charming boat. You can also take a trip to Elephant’s Walk Shopping and Artist Village, where you can browse some of the best speciality shops Zimbabwe has to offer.

After breakfast, you’ll be privately transferred to Johannesburg Airport for your flight back to the UK.
