Ras Al-Khaimah sits on the shores of the Arabian Gulf in the United Arab Emirates; just a short distance from the busy metropolis of Dubai. The area boasts a rich history that dates back over 7,000 years with countless ancient sites to explore; equally-matched by a backdrop of magnificent mountain landscapes and rich terracotta desert plains. Add into the mix 64-kilometres of white sandy beaches, luxury hotels, and year-round sunshine and it’s easy to see why this place is a favourite.

Adventure-seekers can look forward to: zip-lining and hiking on the famous Jebel Jais Mountain, jet-skiing across the Arabian Sea, exploring the dunes by camel or four-wheel drive, or trying go-karting and mountain biking. History buffs get to explore the 16th-century Dhayah Fort, the 18th-century Mohammad Bin Salim Mosque, and the National Museum of Ras Al-Khaimah. Keen shoppers can roam the traditional souqs and markets or the five malls packed with international brands.
