Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, you will be greeted by your driver who will then transfer you by private vehicle to your downtown Vancouver hotel. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

You will be collected from your hotel this morning for a tour offering a fascinating look at Vancouver. Points of interest include Canada Place, Robson Street, Sports Venues, the Library, theatres, Chinatown and historic Gastown. The tour makes stops in Stanley Park en route to the Capilano Suspension Bridge in the North Shore rainforest. Cross the 450 ft. long bridge over a spectacular canyon to the Treetops Adventure observation structure. Shop and snack under the evergreens. An additional highlight of this tour is a visit to Granville Island with its public market, shops, eateries and galleries along the water.

Transfer from your downtown Vancouver hotel to board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station at 7:30am PT. Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Breakfast & lunch included onboard. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room. All hotels in Kamloops are of moderate standard: your hotel will be assigned post-booking.

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 6:25am PT, your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today?s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Breakfast & lunch included onboard. Your rail journey ends this evening upon arrival in Banff, between 7:00pm and 8:30pm MT. You will be transferred to your hotel in Banff.

Prepare yourself for the experience of the Columbia Icefield! Covering an expanse of 325 sq. km and reaching depths of up to 320 m, this impressive icefield forms one of the largest masses of ice south of the Arctic Circle. Your route along the scenic Icefields Parkway provides a spectacular view, and also includes a trip directly onto the Athabasca Glacier – which represents a substantial portion of the entire ice blanket - in a special Ice Explorer snow coach. Following your on-ice adventure, you will head over to the Glacier Skywalk. Step out on a cliff-edge walkway where giant glaciers perch above you and the spectacular Sunwapta Valley spreads out below. The Glacier Skywalk experience features waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more on an exciting 1-kilometre walkway that leads to a platform where glass is all that separates you from a 280 m (918 ft) drop. Tour includes pick-up and drop-off from your Banff accommodation.
